Dominican Republic Scuba diving
It’s been a while since my last post, I guess we were too busy with our lives and I forgot to post. So let’s do a quick recap.
First – it was the arrival of our first grandson in November 2013; then Christmas and New Years – on a well deserved vacation, visiting family and friends in Canada. Not the smartest thing to go during the winter time after being in the Caribbean paradise for few years, but we had a great time. Vancouver is known as one of the best cold water scuba diving destinations in the world so many friends asked if Vladi would go diving again in Vancouver area; something completely different than scuba diving around Bayahibe. He said he would love to visit “his” dive sites again, but not in the winter. It is in the plans for next summer, maybe (wink, wink).
Then along came spring we kept busy with lots of scuba diving, scuba lessons and trips. Fast forward to summer, where we spent 3 beautiful weeks in Europe. Both our kids (with their spouses) joined us for a family reunion, it was great seeing our whole family together and celebrating after a very long time. (12 years to be exact)
Re-charged and refreshed we came back from our holiday ready for more scuba diving in the Dominican Republic. The summer months were busy as always, and now the official “low season” was upon us. Because we don’t do “mass production” or “cattle boat diving”, we are busy all year-round, however our high season months get booked much faster than the rest of the year. We take reservations on first come first served basis, so we advise you to contact us at least 2 months in advance to make sure that the Sharky’s Crew is available when you arrive for your vacation in Bayahibe. Many of our repeat clients book six months to a year ahead of their holiday and some even plan their entire scuba vacation around our availability.
Speaking of our repeat clients, building relationships is what we love the most about running Sharky’s Shop. It feels more like a Sharky’s Dive Club because many of our clients (who have turned into friends) keep on coming back to see us and scuba dive in Bayahibe. Some of our clients have started booking their holidays with us once every year or two, but the ones that really love us have started coming even a couple times a year. No matter how often our clients visit, we love to see them all! In between their visits we stay in touch through the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, GooglePlus (G+) or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) This way we can keep up with what’s new in their lives and they know what is happening with ours. Exactly like a friendship should be.
