Dominican Republic women
Since the conception of Dare for More, we have been burdened for women to catch a glimpse of what God can do through their lives. One of the aspirations of DFM is to give women a platform for living out their dreams and purpose in this life. Opportunities are everywhere you look, God has equipped women in incredible ways to touch the lives of others, our goal is to be a bridge. Women on Mission is one of the ways we accomplish this goal.
The Dominican Republic (DR) ranks third among all the nations of the world in human trafficking. Despite the fact that the DR is a relatively small island, the women and children who live there are at great risk. But there is hope! Through the power of the gospel and the care of others, women are turning their lives around and victories are being won.
God has given us a wonderful connection with two ministries in the Dominican Republic: DR Vision and New Hope Girls Academy. Our partnership with these ministries has developed into many divine appointments and moments that only God could have orchestrated. DR Vision is the outreach ministry of Iglesia Bautista Evangelica de Macoris. Gary and Allison Hale of Daystar Baptist Missions have been ministering there for over 15 years. Along with a great team of missionaries and nationals, the DR Vision team impacts it’s community and is at the forefront of reaching those at risk for trafficking. New Hope Girls Academy is a school and safe house for little girls in one of the poorest areas of the DR.
Joy Reyes and her team have difficult jobs and yet they are watching God answer prayers and make their way plain.
God has opened the door wide for Dare for More to bring women on mission to the DR. This is an opportunity to share your story, your life, and even your skill set with a woman who needs help. It’s a chance for you to help improve the quality of another woman’s life and thus change the environment for her whole family. Women are hungry to get involved in mission work and many haven’t felt like they had a place to contribute. Now you do! Here is your opportunity.
What you do matters! Join women from all over the United States as we go and give. You will leave wanting to make a difference — you will come back forever changed!
