Dominican University Occupational Therapy
Students begin their integrated capstone experience in the second year of the program. These experiences are faculty-directed and are typically completed in small groups. The emphasis is on community-based research and program development experiences, however, individual clinical projects are also an option.
"My training at Dominican prepared me to be a successful occupational therapist. I now have a strong body of knowledge and feel I am ready to succeed. Starting my career at St. Mary's Hospital is a great place for me, and I am very happy with my position."
—Brian Bonham, MS OTR/L
Students who have earned bachelor degrees in other fields may not have completed all the prerequisite courses for admission to the occupational therapy program. Students should review the program prerequisites and may request a preliminary review of their transcripts to determine what courses may need to be taken before applying for admission to the OT program.
